Make it an adventure or simply a quiet getaway to either lie in a hammock and read a good book or enjoy some activity by hiking and exploring nature and observing wildlife, walking, running or playing on the wide manicured trails or fishing the ponds by yourself, with someone special or with friends and family.
There are several observation blinds and platforms available for observing wildlife up close. The ground blinds are protected by fencing so that you can observe the deer, turkey, hogs, birds, raccoons and other animals without fear of being bothered.
There is no hunting, unless specific arrangements have been made prior to your visit during hunting season.
Each season brings a different look to this place. A white winter snow is beautiful and the white blanket of snow allows you to see wildlife that you could not otherwise view and follow the trails of their footprints. The hill behind the Main House works well for some great sledding. The Spring rains often bring enough rain to allow you to see a high flowing, if not raging creek and several waterfalls throughout various areas of the property. Spring also brings the show of blooming plum and redbud trees and numerous wildflowers. By Summer the green foliage is at its peak and the trails once again become walled with it and the treetops become a canopy for the trails along the creek. Horseshoe pits, Badminton and Croquet are available as well. Fall is a wonderful time of year out here as the weather begins to cool down from the Summer heat and the leaves on the trees begin to turn to their spectacular yellows, oranges and reds. You can visit this place at different times of the year and have a different experience each time.
